John Appiah

John is a fellow of the West Africa College of Physicians, Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Colleges of Medicine South Africa. He is the head of the unit and a senior specialist, and pediatric intensivist at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, Ghana.

A graduate of the School of Medicine and Dentistry, KNUST. He completed his Residence at KATH and pursued a subspecialty at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, Cape Town.  He earned his MPhil in 2015 from UCT, South Africa.

John has more than 20 years of wealth of experience of practicing pediatric, critical care, and research (with a focus on sepsis, critical care training, and palliative care in Ghana, Africa.
