Irit Gat-Viks

Speaker in Session 4

Irit is a computational and systems biologist at the Faculty of Life Sciences, Tel Aviv University, Israel, focusing on how molecular and cellular processes shape complex disease phenotypes. She trained as a postdoctoral fellow at the Broad Institute (MIT and Harvard) and the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin.

Her research centers on applying systems biology approaches to characterize immune responses in health and disease, leveraging high-throughput data and clinical information. By integrating these data, she aims to identify the fundamental principles of inflammation and develop predictive biomarkers for diagnosis and therapy.
