Larissa is Professor of Emergency Medicine and Director of Emergency Department Antibiotic Stewardship at the University of California Davis Health. She also serves as the Associate Medical Director for the clinical microbiology laboratory.
Larissa’s research interests center on the application of rapid diagnostic assays, behavioral economics, and informatics to improve infectious disease management in the ED and outpatient setting. She is currently a Clinical Partner in the UC Davis Center for Diagnostic Innovation where she supports clinical development of assays, registrational trials, and post-market implementation studies.
She has also served on numerous national and international committees and task forces focused on antibiotic stewardship, emergency preparedness, and infectious diseases surveillance and serves as a clinical advisor to the Berkeley SkyDeck and an independent consultant to multiple biotech and life sciences companies.
