Nuala Meyer

Nuala is Professor of Medicine and Director of the Center for Translational Lung Biology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.
She also serves as the Vice Chief for Research for the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine. She received her B.S. from Yale University and her M.D. from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where she also completed internal medicine residency, chief residency, and pulmonary and critical care fellowship.
She joined the Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine Division at Penn in 2008, and completed a Master of Science in Translational Research. Her research program is focused on molecular risk factors for acute respiratory distress syndrome and other forms of sepsis-associated organ failure, to identify biologic subtypes that may warrant precision treatments.
