With over 15 years of experience in infectious diseases, geriatric medicine, and public health, Elie focuses on clinical excellence, research innovation, and academic leadership.

As Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Control, he leads initiatives to enhance patient safety. His research expertise includes bacterial infections, particularly Extraintestinal Pathogenic Escherichia coli (ExPEC), antimicrobial resistance, and healthcare-associated infections.

Elie has led over $15 million in grants from the CDC, NIH, and industry partners, advancing infection prevention strategies and vaccine efficacy. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on E. coli infections and antimicrobial stewardship and plays a key role in national committees addressing infection prevention.

A dedicated educator, he mentors medical fellows, residents, and students and frequently presents at major conferences.
