Daniela, MD, MSc, PhD, is the President of the Latin American Sepsis Institute (LASI) for the term 2022-26. At this institute, she works to develop and promote quality improvement pediatric sepsis protocols and bring awareness of the syndrome in Brazil and Latin America.
Currently, Daniela is engaged in studies whose main goal is to deepen her knowledge of pediatric and neonatal sepsis in Latin America. She is also a Pediatric Intensivist at the University of São Paulo and Hospital Sírio Libanês (Sao Paulo), in both PICUs, she works as a medical assistant, professor, and researcher. Her work is driven by a commitment to improving outcomes for critically ill children and fostering excellence in clinical practice, education, and research within pediatric intensive care and sepsis management.
Daniela is a recognized leader in pediatric intensive care and sepsis research, driving advancements in clinical practice, education, and health system improvement in Brazil and internationally.
